Art after hours: Margaret Olley: A Generous Life

Join Review editor Tim Douglas, former Governor-General of Australia the Hon. Dame Quentin Bryce AD, CVO, and Trustee of the Margaret Olley Trust and the 2019 Philanthropist of the year Philip Bacon AM, at Brisbane’s Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) for an evening of art, drinks and conversation.


You will be treated to a Q&A session hosted by Tim where the panel will delve into the lively and generous character of Margaret Olley. You’ll glean insights from Philip and Quentin and hear of the lasting impressions left by their dearly departed mentor and friend.

Shortly after, Tim will guide you through ‘A Generous Life’, an exhibition that examines the legacy and influence of a much-loved Australian artist who spent a formative part of her career in Brisbane
