Win a Perth getaway to experience Look, look. Anna Park at AGWA

Enjoy a bespoke, urban art experience and explore the new works of artist Anna Park, rising star of the international contemporary art world.

Be among the first in Australia to experience Anna Park’s first international solo museum exhibition.

Look, look. Anna Park premieres with more than 15 never-before-seen charcoal and ink works on paper that feverishly capture the spirit of contemporary life, created uniquely for The Art Gallery of Western Australia.

The exhibition fixates on Park's darkly humorous exploration of female identity through the lens of film and television. Having immigrated from South Korea to the United States as a child, Park's earliest experiences of Western culture were shaped by current and past American screen stories and advertisements.

In partnership with The Art Gallery of Western Australia, The Australian Plus is offering one lucky winner and a guest the chance to head to Perth and experience this must-see exhibition.

This contemporary arts urban adventure prize includes:

  • A 45-minute private curatorial tour of Look, look. Anna Park with the exhibition curator, Rachel Ciesla.
  •  A beautiful AGWA Design Store pack, including the exhibition Look, look. Anna Park publication and limited-edition fashion knit – a collaboration between Anna Park x Wah-Wah x AGWA.
  • Two nights accommodation in a Large Room at Alex Hotel for up to 2 guests.
  • Economy return flights for up to 2 people to travel to Perth from the winner's closest capital city (Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, Canberra, Hobart, or Darwin only), up to the value of $1,500

Travel must be booked by 30 June 2024

Travel must be competed by the exhibition end date of 8 September 2024

Anna Park

Artist, Brooklyn, NY.

At 27 years old, Anna Park has swiftly gained recognition for her richly detailed charcoal and ink works on paper that teeter between figuration and expressive abstraction. A major new figure in contemporary drawing, her work is in high demand, and she is increasingly considered an artist of choice by a new generation of private collectors.
